Lucy Whitney (she/her) is a recent graduate from New York University where she studied Global Liberal Studies with a concentration in Sustainability, Health, and the Environment, and minors in Peace and Conflict Studies and French Studies. Her undergraduate thesis focused on the incorporation of local cultural knowledge into formal environmental education in Ghana and she is interested in environmental communication in general. Outside of class, Lucy is an alum of the New Roots Institute Leadership Program. She was the Outreach Coordinator for the Greener by Default Coalition at NYU, which helps on-campus organizations transition to providing plant-based food as the default in catering.
