Part-Time Educational Consultant for High School and College Programs

FFAC seeks a consultant to work on our Student Advocates programming. These programs for high school and college students explore the impacts of factory farming on humans, animals other than humans, and the planet. Both the high school mentee and college intern programs consist of assigned readings and discussions, social activities, and project-based community outreach. Upon completion of the basic program, Student Advocates can apply to be fellows, who work on student-led initiatives.  

Assignment:

The consultant will evaluate the existing curriculum, recommend content and pedagogical changes, and establish metrics for ongoing assessment.

Required:

  1. Five or more years of demonstrated experience developing curriculum specifically for nonprofit and extramurally funded programming, especially for the environmental and social sciences.
  2. Undergraduate degree in the natural or social sciences.
  3. PhD in education or M Ed.

Preferred:

  1. High school and/or university teaching experience.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
