CultureShift Book Club: Ecofeminism
Please RSVP here: bit.ly/ffacshift5
Join FFAC’s CultureShift Book Club! Meetings will take place on the first Tuesday of each month, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. PT. We’ll be discussing a variety of books and long-form articles that explore speciesism, racism, sexism, materialism, and their interconnections. Everyone is welcome!
This month we are reading three selections from "Ecofeminism: Feminist Intersections with Other Animals and the Earth", an anthology of essays by leading theorists and activists on how our emotions and embodiment can and must inform our relationships with the more than human world. The selections are:
1. Joy: Deborah Slicer
2. Interdependent Animals: A Feminist Disability Ethic-Of-Care—Sunaura Taylor
3. The Wonderful, Horrible Life of Michael Vick: Claire Kim
