CultureShift Book Club: Fifteen Dogs
RSVP here for our next CultureShift Book Club meeting! Our book this month is Fifteen Dogs: an Apologue by André Alexis. Fifteen Dogs tells the story of a group of dogs at a veterinary clinic in Toronto who are suddenly gifted by the gods with human consciousness and language. The book explores the impact of human values, such as individuality and personal freedom, on the conventionally hierarchical social order of dog packs.
Meetings take place on the second Tuesday of each month, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. PT. Together we discuss a variety of books and long-form articles that explore speciesism, racism, sexism, materialism, and their interconnections. Everyone is welcome!
