Curbing the Next Pandemic with Plants: Tools for Creating Change
Register in advance to attend this free virtual talk here: https://bit.ly/curbpandemic
Social distancing may be the only action we can take to slow the spread of COVID-19, but there are many crucial steps we can take to help prevent future disease outbreaks. Seventy-five percent of emerging infectious diseases in humans originate from animals, and many other recent pandemic threats—like swine flu (H1N1) and bird flu (H5N1)—have been directly linked to factory farms. Once we start reconvening in our communities, we will have the opportunity to hit the reset button and serve meals that better align with our values for health, safety, and sustainability.
Join us for Q&A and a discussion on the relationship between animal agriculture and pandemics and gain valuable tools to help drive change in your community to support a healthy and just food system.
