FFAC Volunteer Speaker Training
This is the official speaker training for FFAC community members interested in becoming volunteer presenters. We hope that you can join us in person at Stephens Lounge (located within the MLK building near Sproul Plaza) at the UC Berkeley campus. If you are unable to join us in person, the entire training will be broadcast on our FFAC facebook page LIVE.
To become a volunteer presenter with FFAC in one of our regions, there is a 5-step training process (*This process is modified for volunteers in regions without FFAC offices) :
1. Attend a presentation
2. Attend a speaker training
3. Present with FFAC staff
4. Present to FFAC staff
5. Present solo, accompanied by FFAC staff
Volunteers who complete training will be recognized with a Trained Speaker Certification.
After completing training, volunteers will give the FFAC presentation on their own!
A FFAC Regional Director will work with each volunteer to match presentation opportunities to their schedule and comfort.
Those who go on to present at least 5 times will be awarded with an Accomplished Contributor Award in recognition of their dedication to FFAC's mission.
*Please note that food is not permitted inside of Stephens Lounge.
