India has been known throughout history to have a strong vegetarian culture and a sacred connection to the cow. However, over the last few decades, India's animal agriculture industry has grown as the demand for meat and dairy has significantly increased.
In this webinar, we will join FFAC's San Jose Director and Indian-American activist, Vidisha Rai, for a discussion on the philosophical roots of vegetarianism in India, how it has evolved over time and the major threats posed to the Indian population because of the dairy/leather industries. We will also be sharing a vegan Indian chutney recipe, perfect for Buddha Bowls, savory crepes or to dip veggies in.
