Utah’s Earth Day Live is in coordination with the national Earth Day Live. The national Earth Day themes are Strike, Divest, Vote. Throughout our three-day event, we will have events on these themes as well as an intergenerational reflection, celebration, and visioning of Earth Day in the past, present, and future.
At the helm of these events are groups like Utah Youth Environmental Solutions Network, Fridays For Future Utah, Sunrise Movement, and Climate Strikes Utah. The online events will begin on Earth Day with a panel led by Utah youth climate strikers called “Intergeneration Action for Climate Justice”, an intergenerational conversation on activism and the issues facing our Earth and communities. Speakers include: Mark Maryboy, Vaughn Lovejoy, Ari Grace.
The online events will continue until Friday, April 24th, led by youth strikers and community leaders on the frontlines of the climate justice movement in Utah. Each day of activities will include an online keynote panel, educational workshop/webinar, and an online non-violent direct action.
