Wild Oakland Walk - Effects of Overgrazing

FFAC has partnered with Wild Oakland and Climate Healers to bring you an interactive hike & discussion on the harmful effects of overgrazing on ecosystems!

Join Sailesh Rao, the Executive Director of Climate Healers, and Sudha Fatima, a doctoral student in Cultural Anthropology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, a natural healer, and a plant aficionado, as we explore the landscape consequences of overgrazing and the diverse plant life that is signaling us to change our ways, heal ourselves and our planet.

We’ll meet at Wildcat Canyon Regional Park at the Wildcat Canyon Staging Area / Alvarado Staging Area (a few hundred feet down a narrow road east of 5775 McBryde Ave.) There is no charge for parking.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen, snacks, and drinking water!

$5-10 suggested donation. Please RSVP to info@wildoakland.org
