Programming For Your Classes

Urge your teachers to schedule free, customizable lessons on the devastating impacts of factory farming— on climate change, natural resource depletion, animal suffering, immigrant and worker exploitation, and public health.

An FFAC educator can visit your class virtually or (if COVID-safe) in person to offer lessons consistent with your curriculum. We’ll also speak to your extracurricular groups such as clubs and faith communities.

Middle and High School

A trained educator leads interactive programming customized to your grade level and subject area.

College and University

An expert speaker presents content through the lens of your discipline.

Launch a Campaign to Change Your School’s Food Services

FFAC, along with our partner organizations, Default Veg and Green Monday, can help you advocate for more ethical and sustainable food at your school, including campus dining, vending machines, campus catering, and on-campus restaurants or food courts.

Please contact us at info@ffacoalition.org to work on transitioning your food services.

Programs for Classes, Clubs, and Organizations

Are you the faculty advisor for an environmental or social justice club that would benefit from FFAC programs? We educate your students on the interconnectedness of industrial agricultural systems and your cause, including climate change, resource depletion, pollution, racism, immigrant and worker rights, gender equality, and public health, including pandemics.

Please contact us at info@ffacoalition.org to discuss club and team programming.

Testimonials

"This presentation really showed me exactly how destructive our consumption of meat is to the environment. I also did not know the scale of factory farming in the country. It really inspired me to make changes in my day to day life." - High School Student
"As an Environmental Science student, I'm constantly thinking about how to mitigate my impacts on the environment, from the kind of car I buy, to what clothes I buy. This presentation has made me be more conscious about the impacts I'm making through my food choices, and that I should rethink what I consume." - College Student
"I (and other teachers at my high school) invite FFAC back at least once a year to work with our students. They interact easily with even the most skeptical students, using a perfect combination of factual information and compassion….every student leaves the presentation with a stronger understanding of the complex issues involved in the practice of factory farming, a well as a sense of personal empowerment to make change in the world." - High School Teacher
“This internship provided me with resources and readings that I don't think I would have ever encountered in my regular school curriculum that have greatly widened my perspective on sustainability and the world as a whole. Additionally, this internship has exposed me to a variety of leaders in the fight for more humane food and reshaped what careers I thought were possible.” - Fall ‘20 College Intern
“I learned a lot about how to speak about difficult topics professionally, and also academically I learned about options for college and how to continue being successful in order to make change in the future.” - Fall ‘20 High School Mentee
This program “has taught me a lot of professional skills like how to present, talk to people, be organized, etc. I also learned a lot of new things about factory farming that I wouldn't have known if I had only stuck to my school curriculum.” - Fall ‘20 High School Mentee
