Carrie spent nine years working as an academic librarian before shifting focus to nonprofits in 2020. They have a Masters of Library and Information Science from Drexel University, and their research background is in using empathetic user experience design methods to create safer spaces for people to learn & connect. They're a queer, feminist & human rights activist who is passionate about food justice. Outside of work, Carrie loves hiking in the Appalachian mountains with their wife and dogs, taking photos, and reading at least 100 books a year.
