Kiely (rhymes with highly) studies Animal Studies as a graduate student in NYU’s Department of Environmental Studies and holds a degree in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley. She has been an organizer for Effective Altruism NYU, led a fellowship for Effective Animal Advocacy, and worked with renewable energy and environmental conservation organizations. Through FFAC, Kiely feels privileged to provide students with the training, network, resources, and confidence to drive social change around animal ethics, environmental preservation, workers’ rights, and food justice. Outside of work and studies, Kiely enjoys contemplating philosophy and mindfulness, exploring cities and nature, and dog-spotting in Central Park.
