Tanwi first joined New Roots as a fellow in spring 2022, and has been involved with the community since then. In May 2023, Tanwi graduated from NYU, where she majored in Environmental Studies and with a focus on the environmental impacts of our food system. At NYU, she completed a thesis on farm transition programs, and continues to support sustainable dining initiatives at NYU Dining. In her spare time, Tanwi loves developing new vegan recipes.
